Yongnuo Speedlite

I have realized for the last few jobs, how handy our Yongnuo Speelite Flashes have been. I purchased them beginning of the year when we had technical issues with our Galooma Powerpack (portable power pack) They cost me just EUR 100 per piece and I thought that we would just “manage” them until we get the power pack fixed.

Little did I know, how much I would actually enjoy working with them and how the speed lights were able to fully replace and give me the same results as the porty.

The Yongnuo Speedlite looks like a Canon 580EX Speedlight but it comes with a  wireless 2.4Ghz radio which can communicate with up to 6remote flash groups with full manual control over the Power from 1/1 all the way down to 1/128 in 1/3 stops (GN58),  Zoom (24mm  – 105mm) and Mode (Manual / Multi / Off).

What I love about it, is that it is so simply structured and really user friendly. Some on-camera -lashes are often very complicated and are loaded with settings,

Even professional photographers hardly use.

Here you can find some images that show situations where the Yongnuo flashes were real lifesavers. Especially working in Nigeria it is so essential when photographers do not have to rely on constant electricity.

A very challenging shoot for instance was for a security company. We just had one day to shoot and drive to several locations to caption all their various services properly. But with the Yongnuos we breezed through the job and created images of quality as every security company should have.

Big shout out to Arksego Security Company
